A Warm Welcome To Our Guests

On behalf of the Seal Family and Staff of The Glen House Resort and Smuggler’s Glen, I would like to offer a warm welcome to our facilities.

Although the Resort’s History goes back to the 1800’s, the Seal family has been at the helm since 1962 and soon will celebrate 50 years of operation.

Our beginnings were humble; we started as a seasonal operation with one cottage and eight rooms to serve our guests.

Water activities have always been an important part of the Resort and fishing in particular kept Glen House busy in the early years when “Opening Pike” and “Opening Bass” were always sold out.

Over the years, the Resort has expanded and new facilities have been added.  To enhance the stature of the resort and its marketing position, my Dad and I envisioned a “Stay and Play” golf venue, utilizing 280 acres of adjacent unused land across the road.

The golf facility with adjacent accommodations at Glen House Resort would create a highly sought after vacation package by couples, groups of golfers, and corporate meeting planners.
Smuggler’s Glen Golf Course opened on July 20, 2005 but unfortunately my Dad, Ed wasn’t around to witness the event; he died of a stroke a few months before.

The 2009 addition of spa services at the resort offers yet another reason to visit The Thousand Islands and stay at The Glen House Resort.

A great location in The Thousand Islands, wonderful accommodation, food, convention facilities, golfing, spa services and fishing have definitely put The Glen House on the map.
Smuggler’s Glen at The Glen House Resort, in conjunction with many other local area attractions such as Boldt’s Castle, Boat Tours, Thousand Islands Playhouse Theatre and The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Casino, makes The Thousand Islands a “must visit” destination.

We enthusiastically await your visit and look forward to sharing our world, a designate U.N.E.S.C.O Heritage site set in the midst of Saint Lawrence Islands National Park, with you.

Yours Truly,
David Seal
