Golfing in the 1000 Islands Region is unique and absolutely spectacular! Experience the challenge and beauty of Smuggler’s Glen; the top rated course in Eastern Ontario and a must play course if you are staying at the resort or traveling to the area. Smuggler’s Glen is an exciting “risk/reward” style course that features several elevated tee offs and outstanding scenic views. Golfers often comment on the amazing quality and consistency of the “tour like,” fast, bent grass greens.
Tee off two consecutive times to experience the unique #4th and 5th holes at Gananoque Golf and Country Club. Play some of the oldest courses in North America that are steeped in 1000 Islands tradition and history; the Gananoque Golf and Country Club dates back to 1921 and the Thousand Islands Country Club on Wellesley Island, N.Y. to the late1800’s.
For the young enthusiasts, a “Putt and Play” 18 hole miniature golf course is a fun challenge, located in Gananoque.
Smuggler’s Glen also offers lessons and a teaching academy for both new and experienced golfers looking to tune up their game. Rental clubs are available in our proshop for driving range or playing use.
Boating To Golf:
Drive your own personal watercraft to the course; we provide shuttle service from our resort’s main dock to and from Smuggler’s Glen Golf Course, directly across the road. What a greatly unique way to spend a summer day - boating and golfing in the same day!
